This study aims to systematize the knowledge about innovative solutions understand composition of packaging materials and bioactive substances used in processes meat products, given contemporary trends consumer expectations. In edible packaging, application natural renewable biopolymers is gaining popularity as, unlike petroleum-based plastic materials, they do not cause environmental problems.
